I would put in a vote for Bavaria. I worked in Munich for 18 months and it is a great city. I was there for ten days in December and had a good time.
Even if the weather is not hot, there is so much to see, both in the city and in the surrounding area. The train from FRA to MUC is quick and frequent and prices reasonable. If you want some specific iddeas and places (all decent and honest, I assure you
) then just PM.
In the summer, Bavaria gets VERY hot. Temps of 28/30 C are common. I got my b*m very
sunburnt in the summer of 1999 in the Englischer Garten.
