From experience at Trier (the friendly place in Germany where the LUXies do their weekend shopping
), I can safely say that
- positively all travel agencies advertise last minute breaks, sold "over the counter" (there MUST be a travel agency SOMEWHERE in Frankfurt),
- the most popular dedicated last-minute-outfit appears to be "L'Tur" (they're both on the High Street in Germany, and on the Web
here in German, French, Polish or Dutch, no English website available)
Bottom line: booking is fairly easy, but obviously there will be lots of Germans on your plane
