Ocean,

> Anyone know who to complain to re cost of enquiry.

How far "sooth" are you? If you live in the area, I would certainly start with your local MP. If you are in Warwick District, I would complain straight to them, cc-ing your local councillors.

Local papers are finally starting to wake up to the lunacy of this campaign, and are discovering the true costs which are entailed. By all means contact them to explain your disquiet! Ask them why WDC haven't taken enforcement action about the illegal and libellous banners in Baginton which I am told DO break planning regs!

This is a total farce, which is rapidly developing into a public scandal.

Let us be clear about this (for any CVT detractors on the forum) - this is NOTHING to do with the environment (BHX is a much bigger source of noise in WDC), it is nothing to do with even trying to stop the passenger flights - their own chief planning officer said last year that they didn't want to do this.

It is ALL about petty agendas, and the false belief that they can control something virtually none of them understand. Had they entered negotiations about mitigation right at the start, they might have been able to have some control, whereas now it is all in the hands of the planning inspectorate, with an utterley pointless inquiry which is costing all tax payers (I think PINS is centrally funded?), and passengers (TUI's own lawyers won't come cheap) thousands of pounds per day.
