This is an interesting connection. If you think security is bad a Heathrow, then Joburg International is just as bad if not worse. We have also had two major heists airside. There was obviously a major tie up with an "insider" at Joburg. At least at Joburg there is a chance of robbers getting shot (not much of a chance)so perhaps that is why they decied to hit the cargo at Heathrow rather than Joburg. It depressing that these big league criminals on boths sides of the ocean are so much better organised than the authorities while my Leatherman now has to sit in the hold with my checked baggage. Another major hassle. Never used to have to lug around checked baggage!!
