Actually, FM has a very valid point - I'd forgotten about 100 Sqn at Leeming. They regularly waz around at warp factor omigod at holysh*t feet agl. They might well be worth a try [but I advise thru OC Ops].
The LL flight safety angle is definitely the way I would go. I got to know quite a bit about your ops and the problems you face daily [or nightly]. Liaison with the FJ LL guys is the way ahead IMHO.
Valley probably won't bear much fruit - their flying hours are probably very tight. But it might be worth a call to OC Ops [or whatever he is called there - anybody familiar with the Valley setup?] - if you don't ask...
