Too tired to think of a witty response, please insert one here.. .. .FWIW, I used to get a bit annoyed about being held down, but if you're careful it's really no big deal. It's just a little more restrictive with the weather. All ya have ta do is slow down .... Keep the same TAS as you would at the higher level, and the miles-per-gallon is usually much the same as at the higher level. Works a treat on the 747 Classic at least.
