Dr Draper, I can't help with migrating your favourites into Opera, but if you have a go with Firefox it will bring your favourites over the first time you run it.
Firefox also doesn't have the annoying adverts that sit in the top with Opera and it does have a reload butten (though I'm sure Opera has one too). The other good thing about Firefox is all of the add in tools (extensions) that come with it. I've got a nice little icon that tells me the weather forcast for Southampton permenantly at the bottom of my screen - doesn't take up any space but comes in very handy.
Re Adaware and such, I posted a report from windowssecrets.com on another thread around here. It says that most Spyware misses a lot of what it should pick up. If you are interested here is the URL
