Seen in yesterday's newspaper:
'A friend of mine had to fly his mother back from Cape Town last Saturday with a medical escort because she is seriously ill. They were on the BA 042, Capetown to Heathrow. Mother, father and doctor were in business class but my friend had to go in economy at the last moment because the last two business seats were given to a BA steward and his boyfriend.'
Apparently a BA spokesman insisted:
'Paying customers always take precedence over staff.'
Interesting - wonder how true this is
