I made an error regarding the level of air traffic and ATC in my previous post. The magazine said that the USA alone handles TWICE AS MUCH air traffic as the whole of the expanded EU and does it with half the number of centres and controllers. That is where the four times as productive figure comes from.

Yes, I have found a Canadian licence to be well received and respected in several countries. I am very grateful for the good training I received from several places in Canada. It has given me a good base for subsequent flying in several countries in two continents.
