Many thanks (not) to whoever published the article from the Australian newspaper. The press are now on the doorstep of his wife's house, knocking on the door, cameras through the window etc.
Scribbly - don't knock him - the BBC were on to it also, and updated the online article with the information. The press, however, are a different matter, and should stay away from grieving relatives, unless they offer to speak to the press.
