"electronic" logbooks

unfortunately had a close call earlier this week when my car was broken into and amongst other things, my flight bag (containing my logbook) was stolen!

luckily the flight bag was returned (minus a couple of unimportant bits and pieces) thanks to a good samaritan who was duely reimbursed with a bottle of vodka!!

the point of my story being that i've seen a few 'electronic' logbooks on the net, but all in american style. now i know that an electronic logbook is not considered legal by CASA, but does anyone know of an australian style electronic logbook?

my thinking being that running an electronic logbook at the same time could at least let you provide some sort of proof of hours flown if your logbook is lost/stolen (touch wood)!

anybody got any ideas?!

cheers!
