Can't see it myself. It might make operational (radar) sense but why would Filton contract out their approach in the next few months having only just signed a three year contract with somebody else to do it? I can see all kinds of financial and litigious reasons against it. Imagin the premium any outside agency would put on the contract plus the cost of still providing 5 or 6 tower only controllers to cover a 7 day a week operation. Nah, Filton is a 'don't spend the money' kind of airfield - hardly likely to go for a more expensive option are they!
