Exclamation ATPL (UK) about to time out ... what's next?

I need some help on this one. I (still) have my CAA ATPL/A which I have not used since it got issued (I got stuck in a different place of this world), but having spent a considerable amount of quid, I want to keep it somewhat current. Here's what I know so far:

* I know that my Perf. A will expire with my ATPL. Retaking the Perf. A exam is not really an issue.
* Once I have accumulated 500 hours MCC I can convert it into JAR-FCL (with a current license)

Now to the things I don't know:

*Do I have to retake any written exam (except Perf.A)?
*Do I just need to take another flight test or is a current JAR medical required? (So far, I was able to extended my license without a current medical - I was not able to exercise my privileges unless I had gotten a CAA class I medical)

What are your suggestions?
