Sometimes I enjoy it now too! I must have got tougher. But at the time I was very new to the Internet as well as PPRuNe, and I wasn't expecting it and was really shaken up by it. And sometimes now it get to me too; it depends on...all sorts of things.
I left PPRuNe again recently for the same reason, but not for long enough that anyone noticed. Come to think of it, they probably wouldn't have noticed anyway...my delusions of grandeur must be showing.
Seriously, I sometimes long for the "old days" when the Private Flying forum started. We'd fought long and hard to get our own forum, we were a smallish group,. and we were nice to each other. People noticed how friendly this forum was, and we got a lot of refugees from Wannabes and Jet Blast, who liked it better over here. But there aren't many of us originals left now (hi LownSlow, anyone else???) and it's all changed.
I guess I'm just showing my age, always moaning about the Good Old Days.
