Two of the ministers concerned are named in the articles in SD's post, including the one that forced the cockpit door.

Many of us have operated aircraft in hot climates with a u/s APU and no available ground external air. In those circumstances it is also normal to have a high cabin temperature until you get the engines started. It is not comfortable but it is the height of arrogance for government ministers to do what they did. It is extraordinary that this should result in the pilot being disciplined.

You could question the pilots decision to depart with a pack inop by asking the cabin crew if the high cabin temperature was really necessary and some communication from the Captain by a pa would certainly have helped, but to force the cockpit door is unacceptable. It is certainly a worry for others travelling in India and flight crews flying in to India.
