Yes, but its not the individual that is at fault is it. Example. RBA reduce cabin crew allowances by (in corporate terms) a pittance, yet it still represents up to a 30% pay cut for the cabin crew. Does it achieve anything? No! Why not? Because the senior managers are wasting millions because they have scewed up the lease of the 767 which requires FAA approval and are having to pay big time to put it right. There goes your 2005 pay rise.
