We were being made to hold approaching Sydney, in a Compass A300, being vectored out to sea.
Eventually Captain RH could take no more, he called Sydney and asked for the Auckland approach frequency.
The controller was very polite, he gave it to us.
And clearance to aim back towards Australia.
