Hi guys,

I suppose no one will actually say whether they have lost the contract untill near the end...as we all know.... the face of the company,ie: the crew etc... will prob be the last to know.

however

Excel have had quite a few problems with the 767-300 a/c due to operate these services which has resulted in some nasty delays. The a/c have very little down time so when something goes wrong....it effects the rest of the programme for days to come, but hey, thats aviation for you and we have to deal with it the best we can. The Mombassa and Goa flights the past month have had many problems too, a/c downgrades which resulted in over bookings at one point, unscheduled tech stops because they have been using the 767-200 instead of the 300.

Dont get me wrong, the excel guys do a fab job with the very busy and tight programme they have, i do feel though that Air Atlanta have let them down and the companys main goal was "On Time Performance". i know we all have our problems during the summer but i think Excel Reputation has gone down hill over the past few months.

Like someone said earlier, contracts come and go all the time, so if it is true that they have lost the contract, im almost positive you will have some new and exciting destination to look forward to.

Many thx
