It is world wide accepted military practice that 50-70% of a fleet are available on the flight line whilst the remainder are in for servicings.
Well, well; seems like typical African maths again. Not in my life while salting away in "military practice". 3 serviceable out of 9 gives me 33 percent - so we're looking at 30-50% because this is Africa? But 30-50 is just on the flipside of 50-70 so what's the problem? Makes me think of the two-thirds majority in African elections. Does 66% really constitute the majority vote or is 33% construed to represent 66%?
Stuff the corks, where's my Jack Daniels...
