Are things really THAT bad?
It would appear that I and quite a few others got out in the nick of time.
I am told that a captains salary with RBA is now less than an F/Os starting salary at another Asian carrier. Hardly surprising then, that some RBA line captains (and at least one management Captain who is highly regarded within RBA) are poised to jump ship for a better salary, lifestyle, more stable roster etc.
I also understand a 767 trainer left recently for a 737 F/O position in OZ! Gutsy move but huge respect to AM and a sad indictment on the state of affairs within an airline I was once proud to say I worked for.
