Thanks for the advice. My plan would to be climb directly from Bournemouth airspace into the Solent airspace, and hence staying in CAS otherwise things are going to happen very quickly and it'd be better just to leave the zone and request a transit....
Of course the other way (and possibly better way depending on your point of view) is to depart IFR to the NE from Bournemouth direct CPT talking to Boscombe.
