Seems drastic for 6 or so extra flights a day. Would suggest to me that either Thomsonfly have plans for later in the season or theres something else on the cards.

The Changes of the terminal will be a positive move.
With the changes of the terminal, we assume that the departure gate
would be permanently open to all flights so that all passengers can do the
Security checks then have a cup of tea without all those long queues
at the departure gate.
Not forgetting that there are also other flights departing (Palmair ,
Ryanair, Rockhopper) that could be departing at similar times of the day.
Good Move – more flights – more passengers – new terminal – yes please
