as echoed by others, I'm happy to help. As Richard said, computers are complicated things, but between us all, someone will know how to get you all going again. As far as providing a free service, it's far more rewarding to get a genuine thankyou, than a half hearted cheque. I can afford the bills and the beer, so I'm happy enough.
and I started learning my stuff after being helped out on Techguy's forum a couple of years ago for another problem I had, so I look at it as returning the favour.
I don't get the time to jump in at the other forums I help out on any more, so I jsut stay pretty much on this one now.
It's a good feeling to have lost count of how many people you've helped.
As afr as the drink.. yes, I'll do that.. although it'll have to be in the UK, as ironically, I don't like flying..,
We had to get the train back from Austria earlier in the year, as after flying out there a quivering wreck, I bottled the flight back.
