From what you say I would think you need to do a Flight with an examiner to RENEW, with the gap you have had though it is probably best to do some refresher flying with an instructor first - this is assuming you mean revalidation due when you say "my flight inspection was due in July 04", as Beagle points out, the terms you are using are rather incorrect which does not help.
