nope, a lot more fixed wing aeroplanes in this world than choppers so stands to reason there's more fixed wing flying jobs. Also a huge chunk of the fixed wing fleet are two pilot operations, again so more pilots needed to fly them.
as for being smart enough/sharp enough, bah.. just keep throwing money at a school and eventually you'll get through.
