try http://www.monmouth.com/~jsd/how/

very detailed, fills up a big Eastlight folder when printed out, but some very intersting and up-to-date diagrams.

if you are after Met info, try your local met office or university (eg. we use the Australian Bureau of Meteorology at http://www.bom.gov.au/weather/nation...synoptic.shtml for med-long range forecasts and Victoria University at http://www.geo.vuw.ac.nz/meteorology/ for actual factuals).

then there's http://www.amasci.com/wing/airgif.html with some good photos, then there's the old http://www.avweb.com/ with tons of stuff, not always good instructional material for "Briefings" as such, but some good stories once in a while.

There are more undoubtedly, but I haven't got THAT much time to actually make an exhaustive list.

Try that "see how it flies" one first, it's brilliant.

Safe flying
