Mixed memories of my first AE trip in a Chipmunk at Squires Gate, Blackpool, c1958. Lovely sunny day, sitting on 'chute on folding wood-slatted seat, eager anticipation. Airborne, Chippy noise and smell, Blackpool Tower, quick loop - and puke. Couldn't wait to land; but looked back on it with great delight. Several other AE flights in other types - still pukish. Flying schol' and four thousand FJ hours later was worth the perseverance!!
