It not hours, its hands on experiance you need. you can have 15,000 hours of which 10,000 are on a piper, but a guy with 3000 on an airbus is far better prospect. I assure you the selection at Etihad takes into account the persons actual experiance and not just those who have the most hours, its a little more complicated than just that.
