I read up to the ninth page of the 'Flash' forum but found no comparison with the Panamanian accident of COPA201....
This 737,as you may recall,was circumnavigating Buildups enroute Bogota?..Flight started turning, other than oncourse, clear of weather.rolled, speed buildup precipitated aircraft brakeup(started at FL240)..NTSB were requested ...Evidence pointed out to a 'failed' ADI on the captains side.Inadvertent selection of the 'failed'Vetical gyro to the F/O's side???actual bank angle was about 130.The captains ADI recieved intermitent 'readings from the 'failed' vertical gyro of actual attitude...Suspected 'causal' factor was a broken wire...Panamanian goverment 'fell' shortly
after the ,before the investigation was completed..Believed no 'report' filed from country of occurance(but is on NTSB files)
