Papasmurf, I don't have the particular AIC now but I do remember the outline of it. With the mutual flying, one person can only be in Command and log it as PIC. I suppose it's up to the two trainees to fight it out as to who wants the command time. When I did my rating we split it up about 50/50. The other one is supposed to log the time as Co-pilot S/E time (unless you do your rating in a multi which I have never heard of) The only trouble is the CASA logbooks don't have Copilot S/E column in there so I just put it in the specialist column in the left hand side. I'm not sure whether you count 50% of that time towards your total, or whether you count it all. I guess that you should really only include 50% although I've included it all. Only makes a difference of a few hours anyway!
