I think the problem is that the majority of the civilised world do not think at the level of your typical Aussie grunt...
That explains why Tina Turner isn't in charge, and you don't all flock to a thunderdome for your entertainment (although I once saw an Aussie Rules game on the satellite, hard to tell the difference really).
This lack of moral fibre explains why you will never, as a nation, be any good at cricket.
Now if the sign had read "show us your nice, tasty, home-baked muffins", they might have got away with it...
