the information confirming that the Thais would be trained as CSMs to operate with the LHR base crew came from the individual who was offered, but has since declined, the Base Managers position in the UK.
Steven Reed confirmed that QF have stated that they wish to promote overseas base crew.
Given the FAAA will have no control/influence on conditions relating to flying out of the UK it seems that QF [in their wisdom?] are free to do as they wish.
