having worked for them myself, if you want the largest variety of flying pick one of the larger bases; Gatwick or Manchester. They have considerably more routes and variety of destination. If you want a quiet (comparatively) life pick one of the smaller bases with only one aircraft and you will be able to virtually predict call out chances on a standby day.......
