The microlighting community
has come up with an interesting solution - a range of heated clothing which plugs into a lighter socket. It's still not cheap though, and how many aircraft have such a socket? As for the lower half, I tend not to get so cold there - I have some winter walking gear which has been fine so far.
As for comments about gorillas... did you want to get onto the airfield ever again?
