...one overlooked fact is that there would be a lot of traffic which would interline through MAN.
MAN now has a massive domestic network, connections to the rest of the UK/Eire are superb and probably the best in the country
That's why SOU - MAN has taken off, there is a massive catchment area in the South and Manchester has tapped into that.
By the time you have sat on the motorway for 3 hours going up to LHR you could be at your eventual destination by interlining through MAN !
