I would be far more inclined to be totally honest and upfront with your potential future employers. I'm sure that you are not the first person ever to be dismissed from a previous post, and I suspect that your potential employer may be able to assist with some advice to help you get around the situation. However, it may also be too much like hard work for some of our HR friends.

Lying in your application, particularly about material facts like previous dismissal from employment, would almost certainly lead to dismissal if it subsequently came to light, and then you would have two dismissals to worry about - one for dishonesty.
