Such seemingly "slack" rosters are actually a bit of a masterstroke by Tfly. This is something that was pioneered in Britannia a few years back and the idea works something like this: Roster pilots with extra days off, allowing some slack in the system. Then allow pilots to "sell" days back at a certain daily rate, which works out between £300 and £450 depending on rank. This is a system which the CC had pushed and the company reluctantly took on. The result is savings in the millions due to almost no subcharters, few delays and the most stable rosters in the business. You see, the system relies on the fact that we are largely motivated by money! This is a system that to my knowledge is not used by other locos on this side of the Atlantic but it is in North America (where the idea came from in the first place). So to answer the question raised in the previous post, yes, you can expect this type of rostering to continue.

Captain's salary year 0 is £61000 and rises approximately £1000 a year to year 4 then rises approximately £500 a year until year 10 where it stops at around £70000.

Block hour pay is £12.50 for captains and about £9 for FOs, with a £25 incidental nightstop allowance.

Pension is money purchase, company 7.5% and pilot 8.25%.

Most of the other T&C's are the same as britannia mainline which I am sure is posted somewhere else on this site.
