Firstly where do the six figure sums come from?
A Flt Sgt with 5 years to do on the Highest pay (Eng non Aircrew) will get max 18 months pay so around £56K plus his gratuity(earned already) of say 3 x £12K(Pension)=£36 therefore £92K and thats Max!
Unless you're talking a WO as a SNCO! I doubt a Warrant OFFICER would have 5 years left anyway!
Why? Because they've earned it thats why! With all the initatives they've had to endure and continual cutting of their resources manpower and Eqpt plus no FRI. THEY DESERVE IT! Good luck to em I say, SNCOs are the backbone of the RAF. Trust me they'll be sorely missed!
