Yep I could'nt agree more. Let Cloud Clutter's reasoned, educated and mature points be an example to all on what a good thread post should resemble. Not just half-arsed assumption.
I don't mind what peoples views are far be it for me to disagree but at least have a point or two.
Personally I don't have any worries about the make up of my time. Like you say airlines can't pick and choose at the moment to a large extent. But even if things swing around again there is always a market for Instructors with 1500 hours plus in senior instructor or CFI positions. Its not a dead end avenue and ATO job's in NZ won't be too hard to get for anyone with reasonable time by the time the airlines have snatched every tom, dick and harry with 100 hours multi. I'd say things are looking much better in NZ GA for the first time in....well ever.
