I think that the low cost market has just about reached it's peak and that the pax are getting wise to the low cost low service picture.
Things will never go back to the high cost that was once common for european air transport but I can see a market for fairs perhaps 10% above the Ryanair norm in exchange for better located airports and a bit more customer service.
