The joys of being a test pilot, you just don't care what the brake temps are other than to record them and brag you got 'em hotter than the last guys.
If they're working for me, they get told to go and do it again, within limits, and using the same technique as we'll be recommending the POH. Come to think of it, I did just that a few months ago to a TP from another company, something to do with different approach speeds in the POH and flight test reports I seem to recall.
