My understanding is that the originator can make any changes to his/hers comments by simply ruling a straight line through the comment or log entry and writing entered in error or VOID.
The breach in protocol would be if the departing crew or someone other than the originator altered the document.
If you have any evidence to your allegations, let the judge decide, this is why we have umpires and why they make regular audits of documents and procedures. If they find that a pilot has gone outside his authority or as you say "played GOD' then they will address it as required.
But as an observer sitting in the seat of no control I am growing more concerned about the defects that are judged O.K. to continue back to main base.
