Sponsorship is a great thing, it helps keep these beautiful aircraft in the air and hats off to Red Bull for doing it, BUT tell me if you can why is it that the Red Bull sponsored DC-6 is kept in its original polished metal colours with small logo's so it still looks as it should and the Sea Vixen is painted in a full gaudy Red Bull scheme with massive Red Bulls covering the aircraft. Both Aircraft are advertising the same thing for the same company, so why the difference.
I don't think Red Bull are trying to target hung-over football supporters by using aircraft as advertising, if they wanted to do that they would have sponsored a football team.

But honest, I would like to know why the difference in the two aircraft from the same sponsor.

The DC-6 sponsorship design looks like it was done by a chap who knew his job, the Sea Vixen looks like it has been done by a spotty 16 year old just out of art school who had drunk too much red bull at the time
