The flying school I worked for is part of a large group of schools based around the M25 who are well known for ripping off the instructors.
There was one individual who springs to mind who used to do as much dual flying as was possible then palm the student onto other instructors to send solo.Before the intro of JAR it was possible (as you may of been aware)to have a student finish their solo flying after the GFT.This guy would take full advantage of this.All his students would have under 1 hours solo before the GFT .Obviously not good for the student for many reasons but it happened-all because the FI's were not paid to supervise.
I'm glad you get paid at your respective schools as you need every help you can get.
