Those higher up the chain of command should hang their heads in shame, wire cutters have been an issue for years, a cheap readily available fix which may, just may, have helped out in this case. The environment in which the military helicopter operates is low level, and indeed ultra low level, the very same area where wires abound, wire cutters are an essential item and must be fitted.
