Bankruptcy won't hurt you at all... (In the U.S. of A)
I went bankrupt during the divorce process in 1997. Didn't affect anything except that I could now afford to eat and drive to work.
If anyone asks why, just say that the Tempory Support Order for my wife was more than my take home pay.
