Thinking of going wireless and the idea is to use a wireless access point on ethernet from a Freesco router and wireless cards in various computers.
I'm a little worried about the set up required for the access point and I hope that I can set it up using windows xp which is resident on the freesco router, then swap over to freesco which runs off the floppy drive. I think after any setting up that the access point should be invisible to any operating system and just be like any router or hub on an ethernet.
Why not get a wireless router - mainly cost and the freesco router works really well (see
www.freesco.org) and is well established on my system and family.
Any thoughts or observations on the plan gratefully received.
