What a great day! Thank you to everyone who made it. The sound of 20 ish aircraft doing a simultaneous engine-start was something rather special, and the stream take off and formation flying was excellent. The Aerostars, Peter Teichman in his P51 and the Bulldog pilot all gave great performances too.
I do have some photos, but I'll have to post them later...
GtE and I thought we were on a winner with a 1h30min trip up. But, as he said, it took us 3h20m to get home. The flight was hard work with the stiff cross wind. The novelty of flying sideways wears off after 10 minutes and after several hours is just not amusing. When I first started flying the Thruster I thought I'd have to join a gym. Now I realise I won't need a gym
because I am flying a Thruster.
