As I said, I didn't even look at the antivirus or firewall, as I already have them from McAfee.
I am sure what you say is true.
I used to get annoying pop ups everywhere, not on PPRuNe that I can remember, but heaps of other places including many Airline web sites for instance, and other Aviation sites.
This blocker (with SP2) blocks all of those, unless you want them, and even blocks all images in emails, again unless you opt to see them.
