Imagine somebody managing to get something illicit onto an aeroplane - or even something above their duty free allowance. But they know that they are likely to be checked as they get out of the aircraft, so they leave it on board - and then get through whatever security checks there may be - and then talk to customer services, and say they have left something important on the aircraft - could the staff retrieve it, please? Being customer friendly, they do. What happens next?
Fester, I'm not saying this was you - I'm just flagging up one of the issues of the company bringing stuff down from the aircraft to customers who may have forgotten them. I work for an airline, and I have left things on board aircraft that nobody could possibly want, as well as things that they might - a book on theology; a MagLite torch; various pens; sunglasses. They haven't come back - even though I have been able to track down the aircraft, the next crew etc etc. They just disappear. It may come as a surprise to you, but people are sinful, selfish and careless. If you are going to avoid people like this, I'm surprised you aren't a hermit in a cave by now.
